Chapter 7
If some Brothers, at the instigation of the enemy, commit any of those mortal sins for which the Brothers have decreed that recourse be had only to the Provincial Ministers, let the guilty Brothers have recourse to them as soon as they can, without delay. But let the Ministers themselves, if they are priests, impose penance on them with mercy; and if they are not priests, let them have it imposed by others, priests of the Order, as they deem most expedient according to God. And they should avoid becoming angry or troubled because of any Brother’s sin, for anger and trouble impede charity, both in oneself and in others.
